1. Who we are

Obrix Academy (“Obrix”, “we”, “us”) is a joint initiative of Asterdio Inc. and Kathmandu College of Management, based at Kathmandu College of Management, Gwarko, Lalitpur, Nepal. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our enquiry channels, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus the basic technical data any website receives:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the subject you pick and your message.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Enquiries by phone or email: whatever details you share with us, such as the course you are interested in and how to reach you.
  • Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request, used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you information about our courses, cohorts and admissions.
  • To send newsletter updates you signed up for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To plan and improve our courses and this website.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it:

  • Between Asterdio Inc. and Kathmandu College of Management, as the joint operators of Obrix Academy, to handle your enquiry or enrolment.
  • With service providers who host this website or deliver our emails, only as far as they need it to provide that service.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our learners, staff or the public.

6. Third-party content and links

Some pages include content from other services. When you view or play it, that service may collect data about you under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Maps on the contact page, and the “Get directions” link.
  • YouTube videos, which load only when you press play.

We also link to our Facebook and LinkedIn pages. We are not responsible for how other websites handle your information.

7. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Embedded Google Maps and YouTube content may set their own cookies when it loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you enrol or the law requires us to keep them longer. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Stop sending you newsletters or other updates.

To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days.

11. Children

Our courses are designed for adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our courses and website change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on this page.
