Obrix Academy is a joint initiative of Asterdio Inc. and Kathmandu College of Management. We run practical, project-based courses across three tracks (Engineering, Design and Strategy) and short workshops for teams.
Engineering courses and IT Project Management use a 150-minute session: a 20-minute standup and review of the previous pull request, 40 minutes of concepts with instructor-led implementation, an 80-minute hands-on lab, then 10 minutes to commit, push and identify the next blocker. Design courses and AI Adoption for Professionals use shorter daily sessions; UI/UX sessions run 1 to 1.5 hours.
Assessment is continuous and project-based. On most Engineering courses it is weekly labs and mini-projects (30%), code review participation (20%), the capstone (35%) and the Demo Day presentation with technical questioning (15%). Design and AI Adoption courses use checkpoint deliverables and presentations instead, and AI Adoption has no written exam: you pass by showing a working system that saves measurable time and that a colleague can run.
The final two weeks of each Engineering course and IT Project Management include an Employability Sprint covering your portfolio and README, resume, a mock technical interview and professional communication.
Yes. AI Adoption for Professionals is also delivered as a condensed in-house programme: a two-day intensive, or a four-session version, tailored to a department's own processes and confidentiality requirements. We also run sector workshops such as the 2-Day AI Adoption Workshop for Nepalese Banks.
